I have a form where I doesn't allow edits (by most of the users). But why can't they select a cbo. If this is logic, how can I solve this. It's neccessary for the people to select a value on the cbo and search for the corresponding data in the DB. They doesn't change anything, only read, it's a listbox with single selection

thnx in advance

Its becouse you did not allow edit that the value of the control can't change! If you want to allow them to choose a value, allow editing, and display data in non-editable controls (enabled and locked properties).
You can too create a sub-form (allowedits=no) for displaying the searched data.
