On a Server Edition R11 FP4 SP1 on the LAN1->VoIP tab, There is a field entitled "Allowed SIP User Agents" to blacklist/whitelist. Why is this not available in a 500V2 of the same release? Am I missing something? Avaya's site mentions this as a new feature in FP4, but doesn't mention anything about it being only available on the Server Edition and not on the 500v2. Thoughts?

I have the same problem @icbfan7, no mention on the IPO Docs and I wonder why this feat has just been iplemented on SE, same on the latest SP2

yeah i got stung too

New in Release 11.0 FP4

Security enhancements for registration of SIP devices
The new security enhancements enable administrators to allow or disallow registration of SIP devices in IP Office based on their User Agent strings. Administrators can use the settings in System > VoIP > Access Contro Lists to add, modify, or remove SIP User Agent strings to SIP UA Blacklist, SIP UA Whitelist, and IP Whitelist. Subsequently, the Allowed SIP User Agents drop-down menu in System > LAN1 > VoIP can be used to select which SIP User Agents are allowed for registering with IP Office.

Same case with us, Access Control List and Allow SIP User Agents not present on IPOffice 500 V2 but on Server Edition

Not really much of a security enhancement any way,
Hackers know how to change the sip user agent ID anyway, it is not exactly difficult.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

True, but it stops the annoying dick who keeps downloading and installing the wrong version of a client even though you told them not too.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
