Hello all ....

We have a clarion CX3-10. We have several servers connected to various LUNs and all work real well.
One of the LUNs is almost out of disk space and I need to add more.

Windows will see the original 400 gig LUN as a local disk but when I try to allocate an additional 100 gig of space to that LUN, it shows up in windows as unallocated. How do I get windows to recognize the additional space?

This particular server is a Dell PowerEdge 2650.

Thanks!!!

Log into Windows.

Open a command prompt.

run diskpart.

Type "SELECT DISK n" where n is the disk number in Computer Management which you need to make bigger.

Type "LIST PARTITION" to see the list of partitions on the disk

Type "SELECT PARTITION n" where n is the number of the partition to extend (probably 1)

Type "extend"

Type "exit"

You should be all done.
