Good Morning,

I work at a hospital that now has some Cisco phones along with our majority of Siemens phones (Openscape 4K V7). We have 4 digit dialing setup between the two systems through route 116. I've been asked to make overhead paging work from our Cisco phones and I need a little help. Is there a way to make unused number 3000 on our Siemens system forward all calls to extension 80 (paging port 1-1-121-20) when a Cisco phone dials 3000?

Thank you, have a good weekend.

Rob

OpenScape 4000 V7 R2

Many different ways:

Could create a RUFUM entry to point 3000 to 80
Could create a FLOAT extension on 3000 and CFU to 80
Depending on how the paging is connected could have a route from 3000 to 80

RUFUM is probably the easiest: ADD-RUFUM:DID,3000,80;

Could translate 3000 to 80 in CUCM
If using CUBE could translate 3000 to 80 in the CUBE.

How are you connecting the Openscape and CUCM?
Is there a CUBE in between the systems and what protocol(s) between the systems SIP? QSIG Q931?

Use CUCM as our main system with 4K V7 as backup system in our hospitals :)
