is 211 like 411,611, and 911? if so set as spn. If area code set as previous post.

211 is a county information line, would be treated same as 411 or 611.

Thanks, probably won't get to it until Tuesday, thanks again for the help!

Have tried to add 211 as a spn but the switch says it already exist. When I pull the list for spn's all i get is 0, 411, 561, and 911. I there an other place to see if it exist?

What does a DNB show for 211?

The easiest way to find it is:

>LD 90
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE ALL <--- "All"

I suspect 211 is an NXX

It is an NXX, but I don't find any offices with 211 in my area code 561. So can I change it?

If it is BARS already, then 211 is built and would work... But your area may not have 211 yet. All cell phones in Florida do, but not all land lines

So that would be an ATT central office thing, I guess I will have to wait until ATT gets it going in A/C 561. I would have thought as large as this county is we would of had it by now. I tried it from a cell phone and it works, I tried it from a landline outside the switch and it doesn't work.

I revisited the issue by trying to call 211 from my home phone and was able to get through. The test call yesterday was from a centrex line and would not go through. My home and my option 11 are in the same central office so can I just out the 211 NXX and make it a 211 spn?

jusrt being a spn instead of an nxx doesnt chg anything for you. its about the RLI it references and the Route it uses off of that RLI.

Thanks for all the help, I deleted nxx 211 and added spn 211 with a RLI same as 411 and it worked. This forum has always been so helpful.
