I'm a newbie to SCO, so any help is much appreciated. We have been running 5.0.6 with very few problems for several years now. We recently have had an error message appear - Warning: allocb Failed - NSTRPAGES Exceeded. I'm told that this message is related to issues with the drivers installed for the 3COM network card. To resolve this, I'm being told that we should upgrade to 506A or 507 in order to get the updated drivers. Is this error really related to the drivers and is this the best way to resolve this?

Secondly, how difficult is it to make a copy of the hard drive onto a secondary hard drive. The reason being that we would like to have the ability to have a swapable backup in the event the current drive crashes on the current system. I sincerely appreciate your input.

5.0.6a is not an upgrade it is a patch to 5.0.6, which you should apply anyways. 5.0.7 is an upgrade and will cost you money. If nothing else has changed then you either have a device on your network that is now causing the 3com card problems (which an updated driver will possibly correct), or your 3com card itself is starting to die, since "been running 5.0.6 with very few problems for several years now."
