One of my sites has a need to redirect their phone number to an answering service off-hours.

Currently, the main hunt group is set to night service off-hours, and the night service group is set to a group called AnsSvc, which is a linear group with one member, FwdToAnsSvc. The allocated answer interval for AnsSvc is 240 seconds. The allocated answer interval for the user FwdToAnsSvc is 300 seconds, and the transfer return time is 300 seconds. However, when somebody calls the main line, the phone only rings about seven times, and then goes to the main hunt group's voicemail.

What am I missing here?

Yes, but they're not. Essentially, the answering service sometimes takes over 30 seconds to answer, and I want the call to continue ringing into them until they pick up, however long it might take. Going to local voicemail during hunt group night service is not what I want to happen under any circumstances.

Try turning Queuing on and set the ringing time for the 300 seconds as well and see what happens.

We have something similar setup and this seemed to work.

I just made the change...I'll see how it goes over the next couple of days.
