Allied Telesyn Media Converters

Hi

We use 2 MC101-XL media converters onsite for fibre>switch joining. We have a new strand we need to connect onto, but I can't find the same product from our regular suppliers. What they do have is the AT-MC115XL-30 - will this do the same job? I need it urgently, and I can't get hold of anyone who knows to ask!

it looks lto me like they will I have a little experiance in fiber but I am not a expert

what does the supplier say ?
will he let you return them if they dont work ?

From what I see on the manufacturers web site the MC101XL is for MM fiber and the MC115XL is for SM fiber, a rather big difference.
So based on the limited info you provided, I would say NO, they are not the same.
