I installed some 48 port patch panels with the label of Cat5E on the bottom left of the AT55B-PNL-48's. There are others that are labeled Cat5E 568-B, these are ok. Back to the first ones. The problem I had is I put the Ideal light testers in the P/P ports and when removing them, they pulled out very difficultly and the brass pins all bent out. I went to my distributor who ruined a patch panel testing it as I did, and replaced one for me--I had a few more with the same problem--and Allen Tel said they will research and get back to me.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

The Ideal lights only have contacts on positions 3 and 6. They are grabbing the pins on 1 and 8 when you pull it out. We have the same problem with newer ICC patch panels.

I'm planning on buying some bulk dual color LEDs and crimping my own, using a quality GMP plug presser. That should take care of the problem.
