We at last gave up. We had a meeting 2 days ago and it's been scheduled to switch all the mail servers to qmail.
Sendmail will be history if this critical bugs continue to popup every 6 months.

wow, every 6 months, and qmail has how many?

sendmail is also supported, and used by all the big boys out there cos it is probably the most efficient way of working with mail ...

You're right, I should've said every every month. I don't know how familiar with qmail but I'm guessing you're not that much. There was once a prize for whom to brake qmail first when it was first came out into IT world. The prize was around $500.000 and it was never claimed because its such excellent security.

So do qmail. Used by big boys? speaking of whom ? go senderbase.com and check the First email sender ISP, Yahoo.
350.000.000 emails a day, what do they use? Qmail.
(You can check it by sending yourself an email and check for the headers, it's hided in the message ID ) [and Hotmail also. ]

Although we had an excellent system with sendmail. We're sick of patching 30 email servers. It was just worthless loss of time. We can do the same system with qmail we believe and we will.
Regards,

fair play, but saying it in a sendmail forum is a bit like putting an anti-hunt post in the hunting forum ...
