I know there's a way to share mailboxes so different users can access these. But I am looking for a possibility to send mail that's addressed to different users to one mailbox so I don't have to create a box for every user. They should be grouped based upon the site-address.
P.E.: mail meant for john@home and mail for jane@home should result in delivery in the same box or folder based on the extension @home. But it should still be possible to know who it was addressed to in the first place.
Can this be done under Exchange?

Many thanks in advance!!!

I'm not sure if this is what you want but maybe you could use some variation of this ... ?

Create the one mailbox required
Under the email addresses tab in Exchange Admin for this account, create multiple email addresses (eg john@home..., jane@home..., etc)
Any mail addressed to any of these email addresses should then go directly to this one mailbox
I guess you could even create sub-folders and rules to automatically sort the mail into a sub-folder for each person if you wanted.

I have thought of such a solution myself but the problem is that I don't want to create an individual mailbox for every user. Based upon the site extension the mail should arive at this box or folder, no matter if the user has a mailbox there or not! I've looked around but so far I haven't found any way to do this. The idee is that mail for this site arives at a centralised folder where it is stored. Because the username can be any combination of characters or numbers it should be ignored during delivery. This way I want to avoid a lot of administrative work.
Is there any way to this under Exchange?
