All icons in Office 2003 have become blank

I am having a problem with Office 2003 with the problem being that all the program related shortcuts and icons have become blank (generic icon with white background) Has anyone run across this?

I think that Tweak UI has a rebuild icons function. Have you tried this?

Thank you Marc, Just tried it and it came out the same. It looks like a old DOS program icon. White on bottom with a blue stripe on top?
