All HP 4000's hang when one is out of paper.

I manage a network with HP 4000 printers. When one of the printers runs out of paper or has some other problem all of the printers using the same driver hang/pause. For instance when one of the 4000's runs out of paper all of the 4000's on that same server hang.

I am using a PCL 5e driver version 4.3.244 - BLD 1108.

Anyone else ever see this problem and if so what are the fixes. I have already tried a new driver and it didn't help.

Think I found the answer on HP's site....To solve this problem, Microsoft recommended to deactivate "bidirectional support" on every HP printer.

I'm going to try this out.
