Hi, Updating tower PC cause mobo fried.

Using old IDE drives, old case. New Motherboard=MSI K9A2. new processor AMD 5600 64x2, new power 400w, new graph card ATI Radeon 2600PRO.

Now at barebone stage = mobo, 1 r/w drive not connected, 2 r/w drives connected (IDE to SATA slot with converter cable), 2 IDE HD (ribbon IDE to IDE slot). Powers on to BIOS.

PROBLEM: all r/w and HD devices show in BIOS 'not detected'.
QUESTION: Is it my motherboard, by bios settings, my power supply leads, or ...

phantom,

Look into the BIOS for SATA setting, if not using RAID then set to "standard IDE" or "SATA as IDE"
