All,
Do we get any problems if eway runs Continually ? Do we need to have shutdown schedule? Can you please let me know what are the problems we get if eways are running for weeks?

This should not be an issue unless the eWay has a memory leak. Version 4.5.2 has some components that leak over time. 4.5.3 seems to fix this problem.

In one of the 4.1.2 (AIX) implementations I have been a part of, we saw eWay processes obtain large amounts of memory due to parsing and never 'release' that memory. This started to become a problem over time because there was less and less available memory for new processes to use, so we had to recycle the components from time to time to lower the % of used memory on those machines. As I undersand it, this is the way AIX operates - not necessarily a limitation of eGate.
