Hello again everyone,

Everything has been going quite good thanks to all the help you have all given me. But once again I must ask for some help.

I have my new Exchange server ready to go and then I realize I cannot get out to the internet with it. Whenever I try to surf or anything my connecetion times out.

I have done the following:

Verified the correct ip setting a bunch of times and made sure the default gateway was that of my Pix Firewall.

I can ping all other hosts on my network by ip and name.

The server has two nic cards so I switched over to the second one in case the original was toasted and that did nothing.

I changed the cat 5 cable to another and patched into another por4t on the cisco switch. This did nothing as well.

I do not know what else to do...can someone look at my config to see if I somehow am denying this host to a way of getting out?

Not one other workstation or server is having this problem...any help, insight, suggestions, or advice would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi

where is your exchange server ? In the dmz ?
What does the logs say ? please send these informations

Regards

Hi, thanks for the reply...the exchange server is in the internal network and what I will have is all port 25 traffic will forward to the internal ip...which log info do you refer too? From the event viewer or pix? let me know and ill dig up some info

Try clearing the arp table on the PIX and router. By using 'clear arp' command or simply doing a reboot of both devices. ----

Ok some big new here...I changed the ip to something else...192.168.3.13 and now it works fine...I can only think i did something on the pix config to block 192.168.3.2 from going out...any ideas?

My static synatx was wrong on the pix which caused the error. Thanks for the help all.
