hello, I'm not very familiar with the older systems, so any help would be appreciated.......

I have a customer with an existing Partner system, 2-slot carrier, the first module is marked "Avaya Partner ACS 206 R4.0" and the other module is marked "AT&T 206E R3.1". can I reuse both of these modules in with a brand new Partner ACS R7 processor module into a new 5-slot carrier ? Or only the expansion module, but not the controller module ? the customer wants to expand their system and add voicemail, but reuse phones & any modules to get at the lowest possible cost. thanks !

The controller card will work with the acs in a 5 slot carrier and will add an additional 2 lines and 6 exts.

Hi socalbulldog,
Make sure you use a new 5 slot carrier. Those cards will work. The 206 card without the "E" is the controller (basic) and is not marked ACS.
Two things. First, you must use a CO port on the R7 if you want paging to work. Second, the CO ports on the 206 cards do not have caller ID.
If the original controller is dark brown at the top it ay fail soon as it has been overheated in the two slot carrier.

thanks so much. also, the customer currently has phones with a comcode that describes them as Partner ETR-18D phones (107854853). these phones can be re-used on the Partner ACS R7 with no problems ? thanks

Hi socalbulldog,
Those phones will work fine. The top row of buttons will now work too!
