I am trying to align 2 movie clips and a button on the stage. They all share the same stage dimensions - 80 x 60 pixels. Clip A plays first, then a tell target button action starts movie clip B. Movie clip A, B and the button are all aligned on top of each other on the stage, by the align command, align to page. Here's the problem, when I test the movie, the movie clips disappear! I can only get it to work if I align all 3 elements with the object inspector via the X and Y coordinates. The "align to page" method hasn't worked. Something is wrong with my "alignment" methods... Any ideas??

Hi,
A month is a long time so you've probably got a solution already, but, I was a bit puzzled.

What about the option of saving the movie-clips as separate swf files. In your main movie, create an 80*60px movie-clip and name the instance on stage something like /screen.

In your main timeline set up an actionscript to load the first movie.swf into the target /screen, then cretae an action at the end of the first movie which loads the second movie into /screen.

Just a thought anyway. I'll have a closer look at it later when i've got the software in front of me to dabble around more.
