does anyone have a spec or some advice etc. on aligning controls. i know there is a align top/centre/bottom etc. option but the problem is this...

if a label and a textbox are to be placed side by side then the .top of the label needs to be 40units more than the textbox

this is true if the textbox is 3D with fixed border. BUT IF the textbox is not 3D then the label.top property has to be 30units more than the textbox for them to align perfectly.

the menu align does not align these controls (or others) perfectly so i guess i have to draft a document/table stating when certain controls are used together the .top property of controlX must be y units more than controlY.

any comments or advice would be splendid
cheers
m
Mark Saunders
