aligning a textfield to the right !

Hi:

I'm not certain what you are asking. Are you asking about a binary large object, BLOB, text field? A BLOB text field doesn't have a set size. It depends what you insert into it.

Are you talking about an informix 4GL char field?

I'm assuming you are asking to change some field in a table, but I'm not even certain about that.

Hi,

What I meant was the stringdata in a form field. There are several ways to align number and data values to the left (color=LEFT in a .per file) but I don´t know how to align stringdata in a formfield to the right ?

In Informix 4GL, you can always create a function to right justify the string variable. I included a rt_just 4GL function in this FAQ:
