align text vertically in a vector graphic in design

how can i centre the text vertically. The orange block is equal in distance around the text. In photoshp and illstrator can selct the objects to align . i cant seem to find how complete this task in indesign .

I'm not in InDesign right now to confirm but there are several places to vertically align text in a frame. There should be an icon/button in the control bar/panel that typically runs across the width of the screen and also controls font/size/leading/etc. You can also right click on the text frame and adjust "text frame properties" to find a vertical alignment control.
