Aliasing problems

My current email servers has been running great since installation (less than 1 year) but now I am trying to change were some alias are pointing to. I use alias all the time for our users we set them up with a login and password the add there name in a first.last name configuration in the aliases file and the run the newalias command and it works but now I have changed some old aliases to point to different people and it did not change the pointing I ever tried to add an user that has the name of the email that we want to point to some one else and use the .forward method to did not work so I am looking of any help.

Is there any chance that the names that won't change are in the virtusertable also?

this may be true how do i cange the virtusertable i have a file that are virtusertable and virtusertable.db and i found that the user that i want to change are in there
what do i need to do to fix this ?
