Has anyone had any luck doing an import into Alias Item Number table.

I tried this yesterday under our test company with a csv file of 2 records with the VI and used table IM_Alias.

I orginally put in the csv file that it was a type "V" and the vendor number and vendor division, but it failed on the vendor number.

I changed it to a type "G" and it took the import but when I went to review it under Inventory Management and the Alias button...nothing appeared.

Any ideas what I am or did wrong. The only thing that I can think of is the mask that is under the cust_vend_no.

Thanks
Sue

Would it be possible to post the two lines of your import file and if possible your VI job. Have done this a number of times with no problem. Should be an easy import.

Which import file? The one with Type as "V" or "G"? or both

you can also reach me direct at bglouie@sbcglobal.net if you like.

Ok. Here is the csv file with the type G

1150175,22322EJA/VA406,G,BEARING SCREENBOX INNER
22322EJA/VA406,1150175,G,BEARING SCREENBOX INNER

Here is the csv file with the type V

1150175,22322EJA/VA406,V,00,POWRUSA,BEARING SCREENBOX INNER
22322EJA/VA406,1150175,V,00,POWRUSA,BEARING SCREENBOX INNER

Not sure how I can post the VI import job. email you the screen shots?

Need to look at your import job. When in the job click on the printer icon on the lower right hand corner and preview. Then copy to clipboard and then paste here.

In the Records section you have the operation set wrong. You have = when it should be <>
