Hi,

I recently got Web Access configured and operational on a NW6 server. However, to access it a user must enter the into their browser and I would like to be able to give them an alias instead; something like ourdomain.com/webaccess.... etc... Our company domain is hosted outside, yet that company says I must change something inside to make this happen. Are they correct? I would have thought he could "point" an alias to our IP.

Anyway, I'd rather not advertise our IP to every user who needs access to their mail remotely. Right now that's the only way to get to the mailboxes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To all, please disregard this call for help. The ISP finally came around and acknowledged their need to point an alias to my server. They made the change and all is well. Should have trusted my instincts.

Thanks,

jg

Help again, Please !! Though the ISP was able to redirect traffic to our server (Web access is working), when remote user reaches the Novell GW login, it changes the address back to the server IP instead of webmail.domain.com. The ISP maintains that the server is causing this and he's probably correct.

Does anyone know what setting may need to be changed so when you arrive at the server it doesn't advertise its address to the world?

Thanks much, JGiles
