I was just reading an article about this management software, offered from Novell's Website. Does anyone work with this particular management interface? If so, are you happy or displeased with it. The article makes some pretty big promises and claims on what it can do . . . however, we all know that "real life situations" can destroy how "it should work" ratings in a blink of an abend.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

From what I have gathered, this software only works in case of software problems. If you have a hardware issue with a server, it will not report anything.

Example: We had a NW 4.11 server, Compaq Proliant, and it continually locked up for no reason. Even at low utilization. Since this was a hard lock, ALEXANDER/SPK did not report anything, nor did Managewise or Insight Manager. It took a while to figure out what was wrong, (IBM Auto Lanstreamers) but once the faulty hardware was swapped for a different type, the server worked fine.

Mark C. I hold a current CNE certification for Intranetware 4.11
I will be achieving my CNE 5 in the near future, hopefully before Novell's CCR deadline. I also have my Bachelors
