Alert Manager 4.5.1 (SP1)

Hi all!

I've installed and configured the Alert Manager Server on a W2K3 member server and when testing the forwarding and e-mail facililities nothing gets sent. I've checked all the required services and they are all running.
All I get in the application event log is the following:
Alert Manager could not send an alert message
Device Type "Forward"
Intended Recipient "\\itworkstation"
Message "blah blah"

Not much info in order to troubleshoot. Could someone please guide me as to what to check further for?
