My customer is getting this with non-pro zonealarm after a recent auto update. The help file explains how to switch it off, trouble is that only applies to the pro version (buttons etc don't exist on the standard).

How am I supposed to fix this? Go back to an old version from a cover disc?

I haven't worked with the free versions of ZA, but I am wondering if the free version provides the ability to back up the security settings, as does the Pro version.

If yes, then the back up will be created as an .xml file. Open that file and look for a section such as this:

<outboundMail ompEnabled="true" mailEnabled="true" maxMailSent="5" recipientEnabled="true" maxRecipients="20" interval="2" senderEnabled="false"

If this is available, you can change the numbers here (For example - maxRecipients="25" - or whatever number you choose.) Save this .xml file and then import these security settings. The changes should be in effect then, after you shutdown and restart ZA.

§° Every setup and system is different, unless it has been cloned. Problems, as well as solutons to those problems will often be unique to that system and may not apply to others. °§
