Alert says to insert overwritable media into the robotic library using the import command. The device view shows two scratch media tapes that are "Overwritable" and "Not Apendable"

If there are tapes available, how come it is asking for new tapes?

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Change the NOT APPENDABLE to allow APPEND. APPEND means to add it to the tape.

The setting you have is contradictory.

I can OVERWRITE the data already on the tape - TRUE
I can add (APPEND) data to the tape - FALSE

Remember APPEND does NOT really mean add it to something else. It means add it to the tape PERIOD.
