Aldelo and slow operation

A couple of weeks ago, all 7 machines running Aldelo for Restaurants Pro (V 3.8 rev 10) have begun operating at a snail's pace. They're fine with normal order entry and settling tickets, but when I try and run closing reports or when employees clock out, the system(s) hangs for 15 - 20 seconds. All machines are defragged and tuned up weekly. These machines are all custom built and run other apps w/o issue.

Anyone have any ideas or tips?

I have compacted the database(s) but that didn't help.
