It has been awhile since I have had to clear alarms. Is it Alt I to clear through WinSPM?

Thanks for the Alt P

I'm working with a customer who is having intermitant disconnect issues with calls. They will be talking and suddenly the call will be dropped and they will have to call again. I have been looking through the error log (Last 99 perminant) and there are errors but I need to reference what they actually mean. PRI card is in slot 6. Here are a few....

Most of the errors are of this type:
lost idle message error
slot 01 Port 15
9-5-07 10:47
Code: 840F

Others are:
not in normal OP mode
Slot 04 Port 00
9-9-07 3:00
Code: 7801

DS1 Misframe Alarm
Slot 06 Port 00
9-14-07 :45
Code: 6C09

PRI SVC State Inconsistant
Slot 06 Port 01
9-15-07 14:37
Code: (didn't write down code)

Thanks in advance for the help!

Sounds like your PRI is going "up and down" - have your service provider run advanced diagnostics on the circuit. Could also be the T-1 mod. Are you using a 100DCD mod? The built-in CSUs in those boards have a high failure rate. Try turning the CSU off and then check the error log after an hour or two.

Yes it's a 100DCD card in slot 6. Is there any reference material that explains the errors/codes?

Thanks!

You can get all the documents and manuals from support.avaya.com and download to your hearts content.

The alarm codes are covered in the Maintenance and Troubleshooting manual and the Pocket Reference document.

Happy reading!
