Hi Guys so on my 3300 controller, when i log into sysadmin and the page loads, on the top left i've got a major alarm, but when i go into alarm forms there are no alarms... it has been like this for a long time almost like the image was cached or something, but i would like it to be acurate and display the right stuff like when there is no alarm.

Thanks
Chris

You may be looking at the group alarm status which shows the most significant alarm for all systems

Do you have more that 1 system?

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

2 things:
1. Go to maintenance commands and type 'show fault alarm' and note the output. If still no alarm then possibly an error (seen this before.
2. If 1 is true, create a fake alarm buy man busting an ext ' busy <ext num>' this should force a minor alarm. Once it updates on your display the return to service 'rts <ext num> to clear alarm

Hi, yes there is more then one system but there are no alarms on the other system.

When I type the maintenance command the response i get is: No faults on system

Made the alarm and got the phone RTS yet alarm is still there,

Any other ideas?

Thanks

About a week ago, that also had no effect...

Whoa!

Come on guys, reboot? That's more likely to cause issues. And which system would you reboot? All of them?

There is a form for group alarm status, what does it tell you?

Toggle the SNMP settings, this should clear the Alarm state

Yes snmp would be a good thought but we still haven't verified the the group alarm is out of sync

What does the group alarm status say

If it says one of the systems is in alarm check that system

If that system is not in alarm then proceed

Let's start at step 1 why don't we.

Hi Guys,

Okay, first off there was an alarm on the failover, it was a DB error that i sometimes get, so I did a DBMS CHECK FULL and saved and that cleared the alarm. I logged into the primary again checked the group status where all the alarms were clear but it still popped up as there is a major alarm on the system on the top left...

What SNMP settings should i toggle?

Thanks

Are All group alarms now clear?

You keep checking the alarms on the local system which has nothing to do with the group alarm

Yes, i have gone onto both the primary controller and failover and all alarms are clear...

Hi again, I have noticed that i get the major alarm daily about some database...
How do i access this database and how would i fix it permanently?

Thanks

Backup and restore

@dryaquaman, backup and restore is not the only way.

If DBMS Check clears the alarm, that is good enough.

If the DB error comes back however ....

@ChrisvanT - is this a Hotel/Motel Application?
