Alarm Notification

IP412 on 4.2.20,VM Pro. We have a need to notify a huntgroup when one of our servers has an alarm. The server can dial out to a specific programmed number so our thoughts where to send it to a one of our DID's then route it to a hunt group whether it be via a callflow or other way. The end product would be someone in the huntgroup picking up the call and hearing some sort of audible recording stating that the server has an alarm. Any thoughts? Thought someone has had a need to do this before, just don't know where to start. Thanks.

you could get the server to dial a DDI into VM Pro.

Use the Whisper feature to announce the call to the HG.

Build a hunt group "ServAlarm", add your users to be notified to the group....prgrm "incoming call route" w/ your avail DID and destination of your new "Hunt Group"...prgrm your DID into the server.... users will see "ServAlarm" on the display when server calls.....should work for you....does your server have an analog line or SLT port off of the system?

We had it working with just a display message, but since we use alot of wireless headsets we would like to go to the audible alert, as not everyone is at thier phone to see the display. As far as using the whisper function, don't you need a voice question action ahead of that or can we just go from the start point directly to the whisper function? The knowledge base is not exactly clear on that setup. Thanks for the direction so far.

Just have it ring an extn that has a flasher/bell on the end, then when they see the flashy light/hear the bell they can start running
