Does anybody have any advice on an affordable solution for an alarm monitoring piece of kit/software?

we are looking for something that will spi out all the alarms to an external source within our network, that we can monitor without being permanently having to be logged on ourselves.

Havwe used omnibus in the past, but that was in another company, and the solution was already in place.

Would be very handy at the moment, as our switch keeps falling over, 4 times in 2 weeks, and due to a large amount of bug messages, the prt ahst command doesnt show much (sometimes only going back as far as the login)

Thanks

James

point one, change the buffer size on your history file, another history buffer is in ld 117 prt sel 500, that would give you the last 500 commands the switch sent.. if you don't get your software cleaned up, don't worry about the remote monitor, the switch will stop comming back up..you can get any serial server to a tty port for ip access to your network, thier are providers in most areas that will monitor that remotely and fix the problems that are causing the codes... codes don't take the switch down, they just use up all ava ram..
