had to hard boot nortel bcm yesterday. phones are working and vm is ok. in alarm banner i'm seeing repeating critical errors:

The Routing And Remote Access Service service terminated with service-specific error 126.

Service "Routing And Remote Access Service" stopped unexpectedly. Win32 ExitCode = 1066: The service has returned a service-specific error code. Service Exit Code = x0000007e

"Net Link Manager" - StartService failed: The dependency service or group failed to start.

we are not using IP phones. not sure why or what is wrong here.

can anyone explain and possibly help to resolve?

patch the system and reboot via unified mgr. Hard shutdown may have confused the different services and each may not have come up properly.
 

What version is your bcm?
Why did you have to reboot it, was there a problem with it?
 
where do i source patch files? running version 3.6

ran mcafee foundstone non-intrusive scan on our network and the bcm IP was included. phones went whacky (lost nortel feature access, voicemail didn't pickup and couldn't retreive). had to hard boot and unplug bcm.
 
nortel site. Since 3.6 is no longer supported, nortel may not have on their site anymore.
 

Just checked and 3.6 cumulative patch is still available.
You run it, enter your bcm ip adress with username/password and you let it go, your bcm might reboot many times depending of the patch.
