ALAPI without AAU 1

hi to all,

do anyone have experience with transfer of alapi-events to an other system without the AAU?
The reason is, that we not very lucky with the :-( AAU!

yes, they developed a special application to do this

sorry i mean without a box only with NIU
 
yeah of course, you can always connect something to a NIU/IPU V24 port and log that via PC serial port

Eclipse AMS is the managment platform, but you also need a specific piece of (licenced) software in the tracker to have it work. I develop a small app which translates the tracker alarms to Email...

Is the Tracker a piece of hardware or it is a pure software solution? If yes, is it possible to test it (Trial Version)?
Sorry for asking but it is not clear for me.
 
Tracker is a programmable, buffered modem. Very versatile and they can have a battery backup which is useful if you need to log into the PBX during a power outage.
 
The Tracker more than a modem, you can see it as a "mini" pc, It runs on a customized linux platform and can be attached to the network which can be internally firewalled by the tracker . To interpret alarms from a PBX, Datatrack developed phyton scripts for each brand (E///, Nortel, Siemens, Avaya). So, if you have mixed PBX enviromnent it can be very useful...
