ALA dilemna...

Hello all -

Have a program that is calculating the proper earnings for each department that an EE has as either a home dept or ALA dept through the use of derived fields.

Currently, the PS_AL_ALA_DATA table is populate in two scenarios when it comes to the percentages to be applied to the earnings - in about half the cases, the EE has a total of 100% and in the other half the home dept has been left out but the other dept(s) are present but not totalling 100%.

This is presenting a challenge in the programming as it now has to recognize the two scenarios - it has to see if the home dept is not present in the ALA Dept for that EE -- AS WELL AS caclulate how much the percentage should be for the home dept.

My economic solution to populate the PS_AL_ALA_DATA table through the Earnings Distribution panel is not being widely accepted so they are pushing for the programming.

Anyone have any suggestions as well as has anyone done this before???...
