Ajax.net store value into javascript variable?

hi folks.
Im using Ajax.net for asp.net.
I would like to know how I can store data from asp.net to a javascript variable and retrieve it and put it back into as asp.net variable.

You use AJAX to communicate with the back-end. Once you recieve the data server-side you, erm, put it in whatever data structure you like.

Let us know what code you working on... and show us a specific example if you are having a problem.
