I have a server currently running AIX5.2 and i want to re-install it as 5.3. So it goes through the usual process of booting off the cd but when it comes to selecting which disk to install the OS on it cannot see hdisk0. What could be causing this issue and how do i resolve it?

does the system firmware/microcode support aix 5.3?
