I have installed VNC from the AIX Toolbox for Linux Applications CD.

After initial installation I was able to connect to the VNC server via web browser on my PC. However it was only displaying a vterm session, no CDE environment.

I stopped the VNCSERVER and restarted it and now I cannot connect to it.

When trying to set the Http Port, I get the following message:

_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener:...SocketCreatelistener () failed
_XSERVTransMakeALLCOTTSServerListeners:Server already running

Fatal Server Error: Cannot establish any listening sockets make sure an X server isn't already running.

All aspects of X were stopped and the same message was received.

Any ideas or suggestions? Does anyone have a sample configuration file I can take a peek at?

Thanks in advance!

Rod,

You are the MAN! That worked perfectly for me!

I do however have a question regarding access via Web Broswer.

When accessing the VNC server through any web browser I get the following message:

"RFB 003.003"

Do you know what that means?

Thanks again for your help!
