hi,

I have a problem where one of my customers has just changed a very old HPUX box for a new IBM p620 running AIX 5.1 they used to find their menu options in the application by holding down the arrow keys untill they got to the option they wanted and then let go. this always worked ok on the HP now when they do the same on AIX they scroll down the menus and get to the option they want and let go, the system then pauses a split second and does an extra line feed, so putting them on the wrong option.

I have tryed this on my p620 running 4.3.3 just in unix and sure enough the exact same happens, after you let go of any key you get 1 extra character!!!!!!!!

This does not happen in X or on a directly attached RS232 terminal just on anything using telnet, I have tryed taking the -a option off the telnet deamon but it made no difference.

please please someone help me if you can this is really doing my head in now!!

thanks

Brian.
