AIX system backup

While creating system backup the following error message appears

'Creating tape boot image...............strip
/tmp/unix_mp.strip -0654-0403 cannot read from file.'

HI,

Sounds to me like a disk or a Filesystem problem.

1.Run "errpt |grep hdiskx
Where hdiskx is your rootvg disk - check for errors.
2.Boot from AIX CD ,import VG and try to fsck /tmp. "Long live king Moshiach !"

Is there a image.data file is there?

Run "mkszfile" and see what is happening...
