AIX SMTP with DNS

I'm running AIX 4.3.3. Smtp with dns are configured for sending internet mail. All users are using Outlook as a mail client. Everyone connected directly to the network are sending and receiving e-mail with no problem. Our problem is remote users who are accessing the network via VPN. They can receive mail but cannot send. Is there any way to set up for the changing IP addresses of these users? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
