AIX Sendmail VirtualUserTable

My /etc/mail/virtualusertable looks like this
aixadmins@domain.com root

Where domain.com is a valid FQDN

And I run,
makemap hash /etc/mail/virtusertable.db < /etc/mail/virtusertable

Is there anything else I should do for these changes to take effect?

Do I need to edit a ruleset on sendmail.cf?
