we want to install our software on a new RS6000
can i mount a filesystem of the old RS6000 on the new one?

The remote server needs bos.net.nfs.server loaded, and the other machine needs bos.net.nfs.client.

Once they are loaded, configure /etc/exports on the remote server, then mount it on the other one.

All of this can be completed via smit.
