AIX "write" command

Hi all,

I use the "write" command to send short messages to my collegues, in average, 1 out of 20 messages could not be received.

Does anybody know why? or is there any log keeping all the short messages?

I don't know whether you mean that 1 out of 20 messages you are sending to your colleagues can't be received by all of them, or whether 1 out of 20 messages sent to individuals can't be received by one of them? Sorry if I sound confused, but I am.

If it helps, according to the man page individuals can debar messages to themselves by issuing a mesg n command. Hopefully ohers might be able to help furher with specifics about logs etc.
