AIX PDF Printing

Does anyone have suggestions on how to accomplish the following?

- users create files and reports
- any file or report can be taken and printer into PDF format and stored on the Unix system and be backed up or recalled depending on the security and settings it has

That's exactly what SQR application does! We use it in our company. I couldn't find better site than this for its description but you always can google for it:

So this a a Oracle product now? You can archive files, retrieve them etc?

Its not an Oracle product! but (in our case) it talks to an oracle database to retrieve data to formate the output files!
