AIX installation/terminal settings

Hi,
I am new in AIX and I want to install AIX 5L(5.2) on RS/6000.
I am using my laptop as a console.The setting for my terminal
are:
9600 - bits/sec ...
8 - data bits ...
none- parity ...
1- stop bit ...
flow- none
emulation - VT100J.

When i try to install the just displays,
RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000
RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000RS6000

boot failure


and there after displays;
0 > ok
0 > ok
0 > ok
0 > ok
0 > ok

Can someone please help me,I've been struggling with this from last week.

looks like the terminal is working but the install is failing and the system is going to the open firmware prompt, which is normal after an install or boot failure.

what is the machine type, model and firmware level?
