Hello Everyone,
When starting up AIX 4.3.3 after typing in the word xinit I am getting an error "odm keyboard is set to NULL" then aborts installation. I have discovered in the xinitrc where it says the reason for the keyboard is set to NULL. So I go in and change the Keyboard to the IBM_850 mode. After making the changes and rebooting the system. IT resets the keyboard standard and nothing happens. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem and how they trouble shot it .

Thanks

Hi,

I never used xinit directly to start X. U should use "startx" to start X instead but there seems to be a general (keyboard) problem which I never saw before....And startx will use xinit, too, so this might not be the solution. Sorry!
