I just received a refurbished PN18P1126 disk drive and installed it in a risc6000 SSA.

A. Ran the cfgmgr -v
B. pdisk shows up in lscfg with no hdisk association
C. Tried to do a diag ssa format with a msg saying it was
part of a raid5 array.( It must have been used in a raid5
prevous to me receiving it.

How do a remove the raid attribute so I can format it.

Thanks

Have a look in diag -> Service Aids -> SSA Service Aids. Ther should be an option to change de disk's usage from raid member to system disk and/or vice-versa.

It's been ages since I've last touched SSA disks...
