Hi,
I was asked by auditors to enable aix enhanced security but I don't know what it is!
I searched the aix 5.3 security guide but I didn't find it.

I was told that:
"AIX enhanced security is not implemented
this is important and must be enabled as it provides many additional security tools and settings"

Can you help?

Thanks

They are talking about TCB (Trusted Computer Base) which on AIX can only be setup on initial installation.

I do have a method for enabling it but wouldn't use it on a live production system.

google for AIX TCB for more info

Thanks Mike.
How can I check if it's enabled or not?
Is there any service to check?

Thanks.

Run /usr/bin/tcbck if a usage statement is returned you have TCB enabled
